Major brands, industry groups, and speakers on board for Digitalize 2019

Some of the most well-known companies, industry organisations and speakers have committed to be at Digitalize 2019 on 23rd July in Brisbane. This includes the event’s Platinum sponsor Dell EMC, a global leader in data storage, multi-cloud and edge computing and data security solutions, and Gold sponsor Phoenix PLM, a leading solutions provider for the manufacturing sector in Australia and New Zealand.

Industry partners supporting the event include German-Australian Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Australian Water Association, Advanced Manufacturing Growth Centre, Australian China Business Council, Australasian Rail, Standards Australia, Engineers Australia, Interlate and Energy Efficiency Council.

Joining previously announced speakers, are:

  • Martin Powell, Head of Urban Development, and Gerhard Kress, Vice President of Data Services at Siemens. Martin will discuss how, as cities commit to smart-infrastructure programs and are faced with integrating new technologies like electric vehicles, they can continue preparing for the future? Equally, how can local companies contribute and thrive by embracing the Internet of Things.
  • Kevin Kehl, CEO of Powerlink, will discuss the role of digitalization in Australia’s energy system alongside Siemens Australia Executive General Manager of Gas and Power, Michael Bielinski.
  • Grant Statton, Chief Executive Officer – Digital Innovation and Energy at FKG Group, will highlight the importance of new digitized infrastructure within the economy. Speaking alongside Martin Powell, he will discuss the unique Toowoomba technology precinct as a valuable for Australia’s food and fibre industries.
  • Director of Deacam Industrial Electrical Engineering, Warren Bradford, and Callum Reeves, the co-owner of Kaiju brewery, will showcase the scalability of digital transformation among smaller OEMs, particularly within micro distilleries and breweries.

Other speakers include Belinda Kinkead – Director, Australian operations LO3 Energy; Jon Clarke – Head of Smart Building delivery, Dexus; Scott Giroux – Vice President-Australia & New Zealand, Enlightened; and Ian Burnett – Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, University of Technology Sydney.
