  • Release Data Center Solution 5.0
  • Showcasing multiple new products for the future 'AI factory', innovative DC distribution products make their debut in the Chinese market

Siemens held a Siemens session at the 20th China IDC Industry Annual Ceremony today, launching a new and upgraded data center solution 5.0, and showcasing a number of new products for the future "AI factory", among which new DC power distribution products such as SENTRON 3VA series molded case circuit breakers for 800/1000 volts DC made their debut in the Chinese market. With this release as a new starting point, Siemens will continue to build full-stack software and hardware capabilities, and help data centers accelerate efficiency improvement and upgrading through the deep integration of technology and scenarios, so that AI computing power can go further.

"With the outbreak of generative AI, a new computing power revolution has begun. In the face of increasing availability requirements, power density, and computing and power collaboration development trends, building a smarter, greener, and safer data center has become a must-answer question for the upgrading of the computing power industry, and it is also Siemens' innovation mission. Lin Bin, Executive Vice President of Siemens (China) Co., Ltd. and General Manager of Siemens Greater China Intelligent Infrastructure Group, said, "Through the newly released Data Center Solution 5.0, we will give full play to Siemens' technical advantages in the integration of data and reality, as well as decades of knowledge and experience in the industry, and unite with the majority of ecological partners to provide technical support for the whole life cycle of data centers, and release new quality productivity in the AI era with 'new quality computing power'." ”

Siemens Data Center Solution 5.0 runs through the entire life cycle from planning and construction to operation and maintenance, integrating virtual simulation software, intelligent hardware and AI applications to empower the high-value transformation of the computing power industry. Many of these products are already available on the Siemens Xcelerator platform. With this open digital business platform, Siemens continues to expand the data center innovation ecosystem and accelerate win-win cooperation with upstream and downstream enterprises in the industry.

Make computing power smarter: Siemens integrates the real and digital worlds, breaks down the barriers between "watts" and "bits" with the technical capabilities of combining software and hardware, and effectively improves the intelligence level of data centers.

Among them, Simcenter software can simulate and design process mechanical electrical and thermal management systems, such as simulating complex interactions from chips to refrigeration systems, and can also perform accurate heat flow analysis on the entire chain of "chip-server-cabinet-data center", so that the data center is ready in the virtual world to deal with the challenges of concurrency and instantaneous shocks caused by dynamic loads. PSS®SINCAL software can simulate, analyze and calculate the planning and design of power supply, distribution, energy storage and consumption systems to improve the energy utilization and stability of the power system during the operation phase.

The fully integrated architecture fully integrates medium and low voltage power distribution, diesel generators, building automation and refrigeration systems, data interconnection, dynamic collaborative optimization, integrated monitoring and intelligent operation and maintenance, and can also warn of faults in advance, turning passive response into active defense, reducing the risk of downtime by more than 30%.

Make computing power greener: In the face of major trends such as green power and computing and power collaboration, Siemens has always regarded PUE (power utilization efficiency) optimization as a strategic focus, and optimizes energy efficiency management throughout the life cycle of data centers with low-carbon energy-saving technologies.

From the perspective of energy and carbon management, Siemens data center green and low-carbon solutions integrate a full set of digital products such as smart energy and carbon management platform Smart ECX, power distribution cube NX power matrix, power cabinet butler panel manager, smart cold cube AI BOX and other digital products, horizontally connect the source, grid, load and storage energy value chain, vertically penetrate high energy consumption and high carbon emission scenarios, and realize green power supply, Transparency of energy and carbon and efficient energy use.

With the continuous rise in power of a single cabinet and the tightening of PUE standards, the thermal management solution of wind-liquid fusion has become a must-have path for future intelligent computing centers. Siemens works with partners to provide cutting-edge wind-liquid fusion solutions for data centers with software and hardware products and technologies, ensuring stable, efficient, and dynamic matching of thermal management. For air-cooled systems, Siemens White Space Cooling Optimization Solution (WSCO) uses AI algorithms to optimize the operation strategy of the refrigeration system in real time and dynamically adjust the cooling parameters, which can achieve up to 40% cooling energy consumption savings, and the return on investment cycle is less than 3 years.

Make computing power safer: Siemens ensures the uninterrupted and stable operation of data centers with highly reliable power distribution systems, intelligent monitoring and early warning systems.

For medium-voltage power distribution systems, Siemens provides highly reliable intelligent NXAirS air-insulated switchgear and blue GIS environmentally friendly gas-insulated switchgear for a green future to escort the uninterrupted operation of data centers.

For low-voltage power distribution systems, high-quality low-voltage switchgear and products such as SENTRON 3WA series intelligent air circuit breakers ensure the availability and safety of the power supply system. Through modular, prefabricated, and intelligent design, the integrated power module significantly improves the space utilization, power supply efficiency, and O&M reliability of the data center.

At the same time, for the HVDC HVDC power architecture of the future "AI factory", Siemens leads the industry trend and launches 800/1000 volt DC power distribution products to meet the needs of data centers. At this press conference, SENTRON 3VA series molded case circuit breakers for 800/1000 volts DC made their debut in the Chinese market, which meets both IEC and UL standards to help customers accurately explore overseas markets. Siemens solid-state circuit breaker products also made their debut, demonstrating a forward-looking layout for innovative technologies. In addition, Siemens is accelerating localization innovation to create power distribution products that meet the needs of local customers, and provide competitive solutions for high-end application scenarios such as AI computing power clusters.

At present, Siemens data center solutions have been widely deployed in China and are deeply applied in many major national projects, including "East Data and West Computing". For example, in Hebei Huailai Heying Data Technology Industrial Park, in the face of the pressure of 1000 EFLOPS super large computing power, Siemens integrated power modules have achieved breakthroughs in delivery speed and operational efficiency. The solution adopts the factory prefabrication mode, and the on-site deployment is as efficient as "building blocks", compressing the project cycle limit by about 60%, saving about 30% of the floor space, and increasing the link efficiency to 95.6%, which not only helps customers optimize PUE indicators, but also greatly reduces fault points and further improves uptime protection. Over the years, Siemens' partners in the field of data centers have covered a wide range of sectors such as operators, finance, Internet and Colo service providers, and have worked closely with design institutes, integrators, and supply chain partners to jointly build an industrial ecology of collaborative innovation and win-win value.
