Smartfren for Business, part of PT Smartfren Telecom, Tbk., and PT Siemens Indonesia (Siemens) are strengthening their partnership to develop Smart Manufacturing solutions and various Industry 4.0 digital transformation solutions.
Some of the development plans include energy management solutions, advanced production control, and a digital twin platform. These solutions play a crucial role in the digitalization of the manufacturing industry by combining various advantages of digital technologies such as computer-based monitoring and control, automation, and robotics.
This collaboration officially began with the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) by Surya Fitri, President Director and CEO of Siemens Indonesia, and Tony Wijaya, CEO of Smartfren for Business. Furthermore, Siemens will become a preferred supplier and strategic partner in the provision of advanced and smart technology. This is expected to open up broader opportunities for realizing digital transformation for Smartfren for Business private network customers throughout Indonesia, including Sinar Mas's business units. The current MoU includes, among other things:
- Providing consultation and guidance that will define a comprehensive and actionable digital transformation roadmap for the Sinar Mas Group.
- Exploring strategic collaboration in the implementation of Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT) projects to modernize and optimize industrial innovation solutions.
