Siemens support digital transformation of Indonesia’s F&B sector towards industry 4.0

Siemens Indonesia host a discussion on “Accelerating industrial transformation in F&B Industry with Digitalization”

As one of the largest manufacturing economies in Asia, Indonesia takes center stage at the world’s leading tradeshow for industrial technology, Hannover Messe 2021. This year, Indonesia will continue promoting the ‘Making Indonesia 4.0’ initiative on seven priority industries, which are the textile industry, automotive industry, chemical industry, food and beverages industry, electronics industry, pharmaceutical, and medical device industry.

Siemens as a technology partner for digital transformation takes part in the prestigious event by showcasing technologies and solutions to support the food and beverages industry in Indonesia and to enable them to fully utilize the potential of Industry 4.0. At the Hannover Messe, we showcase a wide range of cutting-edge technologies such as edge and cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and additive manufacturing into the portfolio offers users new opportunities to achieve more flexible and intelligent production.

To promotes dialogue among cross-stakeholders on how a successful digital transformation can contribute to a sustainable future of Indonesia’s food and beverages industry, Siemens also host a discussion on “Accelerating industrial transformation in F&B Industry with Digitalization”. In this session, Chairman of the Indonesian F&B Industry Association (GAPMMI), Adhi Lukman said that the role of technology is very important in increasing the food security and performance of Indonesia's food and beverages industry which certainly will drive the consumption of products as well as to stay competitive in the global market.

Furthermore, General Manager Corporate Engineering of PT Indolakto, Wahyu Widodo shared that through Siemens’ Continuous Process Analytics (CPA), Indolakto has now access to information that translates into deeper insights, makes intelligent predictions, or generates recommendations. The production becomes smart, effective, efficient, faster, and profitable.
