A graduate of "Ovidius" University in Constanta, specializing in MCE (Manufacturing and Control Engineering), Daniel Barciuc has built an impressive career in the oil and gas sector and industrial automation, holding significant management positions. With over 17 years of experience at Siemens, he has successfully led the Digital Industries team of sales, engineering, and automation project professionals, achieving outstanding results.

Building on these accomplishments, Daniel Barciuc is well-positioned to lead Siemens Romania in its new phase as a technology-focused company, aiming to empower clients to overcome the challenges of digital transformation and sustainability.

"We live in a world where human interaction with technology is increasingly stronger. Our role as a solutions provider is to facilitate this interaction, ensuring that technology transforms the everyday and enhances quality of living—from transportation to production, healthcare, and the buildings where we live and work. Our greatest challenge is to achieve these objectives sustainably, with responsibility towards the environment and society," stated Daniel Barciuc, CEO of Siemens Romania.

To this end, Siemens has established four strategic priorities. First is customer impact: anticipating their needs before they become apparent. We also drive progress by supporting initiatives from our customers, partners, and employees. We cultivate a growth mindset and, instead of extending yesterday, we commit to building tomorrow by learning and remaining open to change. Finally, we create technology with purpose, which has been Siemens' core principle for over 170 years and will remain central to the future we're building.

Innovation drives our success, supported by substantial and consistent investment in research and development. For example, in fiscal year 2021, we allocated a budget of 4.9 billion Euros and engaged 42,500 employees in R&D activities.

"Sustainability is a crucial new area where we must innovate, both operationally and in the solutions we provide to our customers: from energy-efficient technologies to software and models that rethink every stage of production or business processes," added Daniel Barciuc.
