The F&B sector faces mounting economic pressures, including rising energy and raw material costs. Evolving consumer demands for healthier, more sustainable, and personalized products also present challenges. Data from the Office of Industrial Economics (OIE) reveals the Manufacturing Production Index contracted for the 18th consecutive month in March 2024, with climate change and higher production costs cited as key factors impacting the F&B industry.

To address these issues, companies are increasingly adopting digital technologies to boost productivity and reduce costs. In 2023, approximately 190 million tons of customer emissions were avoided with Siemens’ products and solutions, aligning with sustainable business practices to combat climate change.

Joseph Kong, Head of Digital Industries at Siemens Thailand said, "Siemens is excited to witness the Thai manufacturing industry embracing digitalization and pursuing a journey towards sustainable production.  Our commitment is to support the sustainable digital transformation of the Food and Beverage industry with our comprehensive solutions, encompassing the entire value chain.  At Propak Asia 2024, our showcases will offer industrial operators valuable insights into leveraging these sustainability-focused technologies across design, production, and supply chain management, transforming challenges into opportunities., driving the use of innovation to create a more sustainable future for the industry.
