To celebrate the 150th anniversary milestone, Siemens has announced an extended three-years warranty on selected automation and drives products purchased in Australia and New Zealand.
Speaking on the launch of the extended warranty, Blake Gordon, General Manager of Customer Services, Digital Industries for Siemens Australia and New Zealand said, “As we commemorate our 150th anniversary in the region, we are proud of the critical role our products, people and services have long played in key industries such as manufacturing, water supply, resources and energy."

The warranty covers selected products* within the Siemens Simatic Factory Automation range, Sitrans Instruments range, Sinamics Low Voltage Drives, and the Simotics Motion Control Motors range. These products are part of a broader portfolio of solutions from Siemens that have been the driving force for digital transformation in the discrete and process industries – enabling industrial companies to address different customer needs and reduce time to market.
“This extended warranty program is about encouraging companies to invest in leading technology designed to accelerate outcomes for their business, for society and for the environment,” said Blake.

*This program covers the majority of Siemens’ Digital Industries product portfolio, however the following exceptions apply where extended warranties are available at additional cost:
- Simatic PCS7 range of process automation
- Sinamics cabinet drives
- Simotics Low Voltage Standard Induction Motors
- Simogear geared motors
- Scalance and Ruggedcom industrial communications (these products already have a 5 year warranty included)
- Non-tangible products such as services and software
- Non-current products
- Spare parts and consumable items
- All Siemens products from Siemens Smart Infrastructure, Siemens Energy, Siemens Mobility, Siemens Large Drive Applications, and Siemens Healthineers are excluded.
