Siemens assembles Philippines Data Center players

Siemens, Inc. organized its first ever Data Center Summit last November 9, 2023 at the Edsa Shangri-La Manila in Mandaluyong City. An event that was jointly spearheaded by Digital Industries and Smart Infrastructure, the summit served as a marketplace for Data Center companies and other stakeholders such as EPCs, technical consultants, and developers to help the Data Center industry in advancing digital transformation in the Philippine economy.

With the theme “Riding the waves of a digital and sustainable Philippine Data Center industry towards a digital economy”, the summit will featured keynote presentations key Data Center end-users such as ST Telemedia Global Data Centers and ePLDT,  and other technology partners and industry experts such Jones Lang LaSalle, Philippine Energy Efficiency Alliance, and Data Center Association of the Philippines, Meralco Energy Inc. (MServ). and Siemens experts, including exhibition spaces that will showcase the latest Data Center technologies.

Against the backdrop of a continuous expansion of the country’s e-Commerce sector and the government’s digitalization initiatives, the Philippine Data Center industry is poised to grow by almost 60% from 2023 to 2029. According to the Department of Information and Communication Technology, Data Center capacity will increase five-fold in the next five years. Considering the rising digitally literate middle class and an internet user population of almost 70 million, Data Centers are at the core of our country’s digital transformation.
