Acapulco, Guerrero, 2026. Siemens Mexico reaffirmed its commitment to the development of the country’s energy infrastructure through its participation in the 2026 International Summer Meeting on Power and Industrial Applications (RVP-AI) and the International Fall Meeting on Communications, Computing, Electronics, Automation, and Robotics (ROC&C), one of Mexico’s most important gatherings for research, innovation, and technological development.

Siemens’ participation in the event provided an opportunity to share its vision for the future of energy and the convergence of electrification, automation, and industrial artificial intelligence.

“For more than a century, Siemens has supported the evolution of the power sector by providing technology, innovation, and expertise to strengthen Mexico’s energy infrastructure,” said Patrice Rimond, Head of the Electrification and Automation Business Unit at Siemens Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean.

Rimond noted that power grids are facing unprecedented challenges resulting from the growing integration of renewable energy, distributed generation, energy storage, industrial electrification, and electric mobility, as well as the continued increase in energy demand.

Against this backdrop, Siemens presented solutions capable of intelligently connecting every link in the energy value chain—from generation and transmission to distribution and consumption centers. These technologies enable the real-time monitoring, automation, and protection of electrical infrastructure, supporting more efficient, secure, and sustainable operations.

The company also showcased applications focused on industrial communications, advanced data analytics, cybersecurity, and automation. These tools make it possible to anticipate events, optimize asset performance, increase operational continuity, and decarbonize the operation of power grids and critical facilities.

“We are showcasing the technologies we offer to the energy sector, primarily to build more resilient and intelligent grids. These innovations enable us to address today’s challenges predictively and preventively. We use industrial artificial intelligence to analyze all the data collected over the years, allowing us to make better decisions as we move toward autonomous energy grids,” said Patrice Rimond.

Siemens presented its vision for building a more digital, flexible, and sustainable power system capable of responding to the current and future challenges of the energy transition. Through collaboration with governments, companies, specialized organizations, and universities, the company continues to advance solutions that support infrastructure modernization and the country’s technological development.

The event brought together specialists from academia, industry, and the public sector in strategic areas such as energy, artificial intelligence, automation, robotics, electronics, telecommunications, and electrical power systems. Siemens participated through technology exhibits, specialized demonstrations, and conference sessions, illustrating how digital technologies are transforming the way energy is generated, transmitted, and consumed.

At the Siemens booth, representatives from Mexico’s energy and technology sectors were introduced to the latest trends in power-grid digitalization and automation. Notable attendees included Dr. Elizabeth Mar Juárez, Director General of the Mexican Petroleum Institute, and Dr. Diana León Cuadra, Head of the Energy Sector at Mexico’s Ministry of Economy, who gained first-hand insight into the technological solutions the company is advancing to strengthen the country’s energy system.

Dr. Anacleta López Vega, Acting Head of the General Secretariat of Government of Guerrero, held a meeting with Siemens and other industry stakeholders as part of the state’s strategy to strengthen partnerships that promote technological innovation and establish Acapulco as a leading destination for high-level international events.

“The State Government’s participation in this forum strengthens our strategy to position Guerrero as a leading destination for international events, promote technological innovation as a driver of development, and consolidate partnerships among government, academia, and the private sector to accelerate technological advancement and promote solutions that contribute to the country’s competitiveness and sustainability,” said Anacleta López Vega.
