The new office buildings in Zugló City Center have been equipped with Siemens thermostats.
Budapest's newest district, Zugló City Center, was built next to Bosnyák Square. As part of this large-scale investment, seven residential and seven office buildings were constructed on a seven-hectare site, along with commercial premises and underground parking garages.
Environmental awareness played a central role in the project: the energy efficiency of the buildings is ensured by geothermal energy, and the heating and hot water production systems will operate using this technology and a modern heat pump solution. This will result in significantly lower utility costs for residents and ensure that office tenants can easily meet sustainability requirements. In addition, the properties have been prepared to comply with metering regulations that will come into force in just under a year: they have been equipped with individual heat meters that can also be read remotely.

In order for tenants to be able to efficiently manage and customize these heating and cooling systems according to their own needs, modern, universal, and communicative thermostats have been installed in the office buildings, supplied by Siemens Zrt. through its partner, Welltech Zrt.
The more than 3,000 devices installed can be easily connected to almost any heating system (e.g., radiators, underfloor heating, fan coil systems) thanks to their numerous input and output connections.
This can also be used, for example, to detect when a window is opened, enabling more efficient cooling and heating control and helping to reduce energy costs.
