Building operators will be happy about this

All data from the entire building portfolio can be tracked in one place.

It is also typical for domestic operators that they are responsible not only for individual buildings, but have to manage numerous office buildings and industrial facilities located across several districts or different cities at the same time, while ensuring the same high level of quality. Siemens’ new solution makes their work easier.

The building management application allows users to track and manage the different elements of their real estate portfolio in real time through a single application, whether they are office buildings, factories, shopping centers, educational institutions or even hospitals. With its help, the performance and energy consumption of buildings, as well as the utilization of equipment, can be comprehensively monitored. This makes the energy consumption, water usage, sustainability data, space utilization, as well as parking and other characteristics of individual buildings transparent and comparable.

This not only increases operational efficiency, but also makes it easier to track maintenance plans, optimize energy and resources, and apply automation solutions, while providing an accurate picture of the distribution of operating costs, thereby also supporting data-driven decision-making. Furthermore, by monitoring carbon emissions and sustainability indicators and preparing regular reports, companies can more easily meet their environmental targets and ESG commitments.

The application, which is part of the Building X platform and available as software as a service (SaaS), also collects and analyzes information from sensors, meters, IoT devices and data centers located in buildings. Portfolio Manager can collect data from various data sources, thus offering a source-independent, modular and easily deployable solution. The user interface can also be customized for different users of the application (such as company executives, sustainability managers and facility operators).

Siemens has already begun deploying Building X Portfolio Manager at a total of 1,300 sites in 60 countries. The product is expected to be launched on the market this May.
