Comfort automation, control, and drive technology solutions in the new production hall built in the Weerts Logistics Park in Vecsés.
Sustainability and good neighborly relations received particular attention during the development of one of Hungary’s newest production halls, which was handed over in October 2024. At the Vecsés site of Weerts Logistics Park, one of the world’s largest automotive parts suppliers built a 40,000-square-meter smart hall, which is expected to supply local car factories with body components from the end of 2025, while the office section will provide workplaces for several hundred employees.
At the new site, in the spirit of cooperation with the local community, a humus mound planted with trees and shrubs is responsible for noise filtering, solar panels installed on the roof will partly provide the electricity supply, and the plant will also reuse rainwater and the waste heat generated by the machines.
Systems that enable weather-dependent and value-maintaining control of the heat demand of the building and the production technology also contribute to environmentally friendly operation. These are responsible, for example, for continuously maintaining the temperature of hot water in storage tanks or for adjusting the temperature of the water used for heating depending on whether the outside temperature is currently +30°C or -10°C.
For these systems, Siemens Zrt., through its partner Galik Energetika Kft., supplied nearly fifty large motorized control and butterfly valves suitable for high-power consumers, enabling heat center and zone control. In the production hall, the technology company’s control and drive systems are also used, while Siemens HMI (human-machine interface) operator panels and switches will ensure the smooth control of the technology and automation used for production.
