  • Deepening collaboration with SBS Transit through two Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs), with the first focused on advancing rail asset lifecycle management capabilities and contributing to the growth of Singapore's rail ecosystem; and
  • Jointly exploring innovative solutions through a second MoU to enhance rail operations, improve network performance, and support the future of rail mobility in Singapore and beyond.
  • Siemens was also awarded with signalling contracts by ST Engineering’s Urban Solutions business to deliver Signaling X technology for the new projects in Taoyuan, Taiwan.

Siemens today announced the signing of two Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and signalling contracts at the Singapore Urban Mobility Week 2026 (SUMW 2026), a three-day urban mobility event jointly organised by the Land Transport Authority of Singapore, MSI Global Pte Ltd, and MP Singapore. Together, these agreements reinforce the company's commitment to advancing rail innovation, strengthening local capabilities, and supporting sustainable mobility development across Singapore and the wider Asia-Pacific region.

Enhancing Technical and Capability Development in Rail Asset Lifecycle Management

Siemens and SBS Transit Ltd. (SBST) signed a Memorandum of Understanding to explore collaboration in advancing local engineering capabilities and support the long-term reliability and sustainability of rail operations in Singapore.

By combining expertise in technology transfer, diagnostics, and repair solutions, the partnership will help deepen local competencies and support the continued reliability and sustainability of Singapore's rail network.

Advancing Digital Rail Innovation Through Strategic Collaboration

A second MoU will establish a framework for Siemens and SBS Transit Mobility Ltd. (SBST-M) to jointly identify industry challenges, develop innovative solutions, and explore future opportunities in rail digitalisation, safety enhancement, sustainability, and cross-border rail initiatives. The collaboration will facilitate knowledge sharing, innovation development, and the exchange of best practices to help address the evolving needs of modern rail operators across the region.
