Raphaelle Guerineau has been announced as the new Siemens Mobility CEO for Australia and New Zealand

Previously Head of Products and Operations for ASEAN Pacific at Siemens Mobility, Raphaelle Guerineau has been announced as the new Siemens Mobility CEO for Australia and New Zealand. In her new role, Ms. Guerineau will be responsible for driving strategic growth in Australia and New Zealand. This will include managing about 650 employees – including one of the largest teams of rail signalling engineers in the Southern Hemisphere.

Welcoming Ms. Guerineau to the new role, Michel Obadia, Siemens Mobility CEO of Asia Pacific, “Siemens Mobility is working on some of the most critical infrastructure projects underway in Australia. There’s growing demand for the products manufactured at our facility in Port Melbourne and for the services provided by our rail specialists. In addition to this, the team at MRX in Perth, a company we recently welcomed to our family, are doing some great work here in Australia and on global projects such as Thameslink in London. Ms. Guerineau brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience that will be an asset to the team and the business.”

Ms. Guerineau joined Siemens in 2011 and has held various roles including the Head of Projects for Singapore and the Head of Tendering for ASEAN Pacific. Prior to this, she was with Alstom in Singapore where her roles included project manager for the signalling portion of the Circle Line and business development for Australasia. She has also worked at Newell Brands (a Fortune 500 company), Orange in Paris and at BTG PLC in London.

Ms. Guerineau welcomed the new role saying, “As a leader in transportation solutions – both in the country and the region, Siemens Mobility is at an exciting phase of growth with various markets recognising the critical role transport technology plays in building sustainable communities that thrive on a global scale.

“During my years here, I’ve seen this area of the business grow from strength to strength. From our role in significant projects such as the level crossings removal in Victoria, North West Rail Link in Sydney, Gold Coast Light Rail in Queensland, KiwiRail work in New Zealand and to a new world-class rail data centre in Perth, our people are doing some fantastic work across the region. It’s an honour and privilege to lead this team of experts and I look forward to it.”

Ms. Guerineau is the first CEO for Siemens Mobility in Australia, which was recently established as a separately managed company of Siemens AG.
