Siemens Media Award 2026

Siemens announces the launch of the next edition of the Siemens Media Award, an international competition through which the company recognizes journalists for high‑quality articles on the importance of technology in everyday life, while encouraging knowledge‑sharing among media creators in the Central and Eastern European region. The guiding motto is "Technology with Purpose". Original content published between March 1, 2025 and February 28, 2026 may be submitted. The competition finale and awards ceremony will take place in May 2026 in Budapest.

International competition with Poland’s participation

Siemens Media Award is regional in scope and covers the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, including Poland, as well as Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Hungary, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia.The aim of the initiative is to highlight materials that present technology not only as innovation, but primarily as a tool for real change, supporting sustainability, efficiency and quality of life.

Who is the Siemens Media Award for?

We invite journalists from print and digital media, news agency reporters, radio and television, as well as bloggers, YouTubers, influencers and independent digital content creators.Submitted works will be evaluated by an international jury, which will select the five best entries. Their authors will be invited to the competition finale in Budapest. Siemens covers the cost of hotel accommodation and a visit to the famous Törley Champagne Museum.During the final gala, the winner will be selected and awarded the main prize – a trip for two to the Salzburg Festival in Austria.
