Siemens is pleased to announce the Siemens Media Award 2024, a new regional competition spanning nine countries in Central and Eastern Europe (Austria, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Serbia). This year’s competition is themed “Technology with Purpose” and is open to journalists from print, broadcast, and digital media, as well as social media content creators who have covered this topic during the past 12 months.
Through this journalism competition, Siemens encourages and recognizes media coverage of key topics shaping modern society, while also offering participants the opportunity to exchange experiences with colleagues from across the region. This year’s competition is open to media representatives and social media content creators whose work on the topic “Technology with Purpose” was published between April of last year and April of this year. The competition welcomes original submissions from print journalists, news agencies, radio, television, and online news portals, as well as bloggers, YouTubers, and other social media content creators under the same conditions.
This year, an international jury will select the five most original entries, which will automatically qualify for the final stage of the competition in Vienna. Siemens will cover the costs of hotel accommodation, the gala event, and admission to the Concordia Ball, the renowned Viennese ball for media professionals. At the gala event in Vienna, the winner of the Siemens Media Award will be selected and will receive the grand prize: a trip for two to the Salzburg Festival in Austria.
Siemens invites all interested journalists and social media content creators to submit their original work to cc.rs@siemens.com. The submission deadline is April 5 of this year.
