Siemens has collaborated with Arm to support verification of the Arm® AGI CPU and validate its performance for next-generation agentic AI workloads, enabling scalable, production-ready infrastructure.

The Arm AGI CPU, built on the Arm Neoverse® Compute Subsystem (CSS) V3 platform, is designed to deliver high-performance, energy-efficient compute for agentic AI and cloud data center deployments. Siemens’ Veloce™ Strato CS hardware-assisted verification platform was used to support verification of the Arm AGI CPU from subsystem through full-system level, helping to address performance, latency and power targets critical to hyperscaler deployment prior to tapeout.

Arm leveraged Siemens' hardware-assisted verification (HAV), emulation and prototyping solutions to address the complexity and performance demands of its Neoverse V-series Compute Subsystem (CSS), with workflows engineered in collaboration with Arm to support validation of key performance metrics for hyperscale deployments.

“The scale and complexity of modern AI compute platforms demand an enhanced level of verification,” said Karima Dridi, vice president of productivity engineering, Arm. “Siemens’ solutions enabled full-system verification of the Arm AGI CPU at scale using multiple towers of Veloce Strato CS, helping to ensure it meets the performance and efficiency requirements of hyperscale deployments.”

The Arm AGI CPU represents a breakthrough in performance-per-watt for agentic AI and high-performance computing workloads. The complexity of multi-die CSS designs incorporating Neoverse V-series cores, high-speed interconnects, PCIe Gen6, NVME and CXL demanded verification at a scale and fidelity that traditional EDA toolsets alone cannot deliver.

While Veloce Strato CS provided full-chip verification at scale, Siemens' Veloce proFPGA CS prototyping platform accelerates pre-silicon software development. By delivering FPGA-based prototypes running at near-real-time speeds, Veloce proFPGA CS enables software teams to begin validation, driver development, and system bring-up months ahead of silicon availability - helping to ensure software readiness aligned with aggressive silicon schedules and de-risking critical hyperscaler deployment milestones.

"The Arm AGI CPU exemplifies the engineering ambition driving agentic AI innovation," said Jean-Marie Brunet, senior vice president and general manager of Hardware-Assisted Verification, Siemens Digital Industries Software. "Working with Arm helps to ensure Siemens' verification technology can verify complete Neoverse CSS subsystems in a full SoC model - at industry-leading performance and channel bandwidth. This achievement reflects our shared commitment to pushing the boundaries of what's possible in AI infrastructure and our solutions' ability to scale with customers across the Arm ecosystem as they tackle increasingly complex architectural challenges."

Building an ecosystem-based on advanced verification

Siemens’ verification and implementation solutions integrate seamlessly into Arm CPU design workflows, enabling rapid adoption with minimal disruption. Critically, the same Veloce Strato CS technologies used to help develop the Arm AGI CPU are available to Arm licensees, SoC designers and ecosystem partners - creating an ecosystem that accelerates innovation, reduces risk, and enables more predictable time-to-market across the broader agentic AI community. For hyperscalers building custom silicon on the Arm Neoverse CSS platform, access similar verification technologies provides a path to gigawatt-scale deployment confidence.
